Alexis Pritchard

Yesterday we had Alexis Pritchard come to visit Kauri team. She is a boxer she got a gold medal in 2018. She gave us really good information like:
Never say Never
Don't give up 
Be courageous - leaving your comfort zone
Be strong
Be brave 
Face your fears
She gave us some posted note to right thing's that we were comfortable doing and not comfortable doing.

The amazing Stardome

On Friday the 17th of May my class went to  Stardome we also went with room 22 and 25. We learnt a lot of information about space. We learnt that the milky way is just billions of stars that are sort of formed in a path from a far distance the milky way looks like milk that is why it is called the milky way.  We did a activity with i pads we had to find the picture and put the right answer that we got from the picture in. We got to watch a 3d movie about space we learnt that Uranus was hit by an asteroid and now spins on it's side.

Tessellation

This week we did a tessellation with Mr P a tessellation is a when you pick a couple of shapes and repeat it and than you just keep repeating and than you make it look fancy by colouring it but only with 2 or 3 colour's. Netball

This year i have started Netball and yesterday was our first grading game we do three grading games and than we actually start having games. We got twenty goals and the other team got zero goals i was. I was surprised that at our first game we did really well. We named our team the Owai Strikers and we have an other team named the Owai Jets  they got 4 goals and they team that they versed got 7 goals. I was centre and my friend was attack. We have a great Netball teacher named Ms Mills.

We have made a Tessellation puzzle it's it's like a stencil but you make it and you yous  the  stencil over and over again and it ends up like this.I did a arrow Tessellation.Maybe you could make your own.

MARS DLO

We have been making Mars DLO'S this took a couple of weeks to make it has stuff about mars.What do you like about mars?Would you want to go there?       ENJOY

VR SESSION

Yesterday we had a VR session. We were learning about pollution. We got to see fish,stingrays,sharks and mangroves. It was like you were actually under the water everywhere you looked it was just coral fish and seaweed. The video's we watched that showed us healthy water and unhealthy  waters.
