This is the story of Yusra Mardini.
One day a boat.
Yusra Mardini is a teenage girl who was born in Syria. She left in 2015 to get away from the war in Syria. She became a refugee. Her and her sister went on a boat ride and the engine on the boat broke down. Yusra left her sister on the boat. Yursa saved the life of 20 people.
And that is the story of Yursa Madidini.

Well done on having a go at re-telling Yusra Mardini’s story, you have written this very well and have included all of the important parts of the story. I think her story is truly an inspiration and she has become a role model to so many people.
It is so awesome that she will be competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, are you going to be keeping an eye out for her?
