Writing Genre

This week we have been focusing on writing using different types of genre. But my favourite genre that I did and most proud of is Adventure. The words that are highlighted in yellow are simile and the words that are highlighted in green are dialogue.

Adventure
Bravely, the man cuts through the house, leaves crawling up the walls branches everywhere this house is definitely abandoned. He came to what he thought was the back door. He threw it open and there were dark green logs floating down down a river. He jumped on one and got 1 meter down the lake and realised they weren’t logs, they were alligators. “AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH”
He screamed Panicking as he dived into the water which is as cold as a freezer. Swimming to the other side of the lake. He climbed onto the land and lay still for a couple of seconds. He stood up and looked at the amazing view in front of him. He decided he was going to climb the immense vibrant mountains like a warrior. This was going to be a long adventure “sigh”...
What genre would you choose?
Do you know what a genre is?

  1. I loved this piece of writing. Your use of descriptive words puts me in the story, like I'm feeling it. Very enjoyable Neena.
